The EBSOD Solutions and Analytics team is seeking a Business and Data Intelligence Manager with experience and skills across multiple data analytics platforms, and reporting and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Quicksight, Cognos, etc (i.e., tool agnostic) to create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. Ultimately, you will enhance our business intelligence systems, processes, and products to help us make better, more informed, decisions.Job Description:We are in search of an experienced Business and Data Intelligence Manager, skilled in multiple data analytical and management tools and business intelligence tools, concepts, and processes, to manage the life cycle of our analytics data, dashboards, and standard reporting. This includes business requirements gathering, functional specification write-up, prototyping, development, quality testing, user acceptance testing, roll-out and post-launch enhancements implementation. As the manager of our Business and Data Intelligence team and function, you should have a demonstrated ability to design engaging and interactive business insights dashboards using Tableau and possesses the knowledge and experience on data visualization best practices, with a focus on enhancing user interaction and user experience. In addition, you should have experience leading, growing, and managing a team of BI developers and analysts.In this role, you should have a proven ability to lead and manage a team, including delegating tasks, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts, and a strong background in data and business analysis, developing and managing visualizations and dashboards, and have experience in or working with a Finance organization.  You should be analytical and an excellent communicator with a strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.  You should have previous experience in leading the development of visualizations for users across the entire spectrum of users including but not limited to executive management, financial analysts, and business users.Roles and Responsibilities: Requirements and design for analytics and data solutions.Partner with the data and business analytics teams on defining solutions to meet their ad hoc and defined reporting requirements.Design, build, and publish interactive dashboards and visualizations using data visualization tools. Design, build, and publish standardized reporting for internal and external customers and stakeholders.  Collaborate closely with the platforms and data teams to ensure data sources are accurate, available and analyzable.Work closely with developers and business analysts to test, clean, and standardize data to meet the business requirements.Experienced with dashboard creation, report authoring and troubleshooting, data source management.Experienced in writing and maintaining SQL queries, Python a plus. Have the confidence and expertise to work cross-functionally with various departments including business stakeholders and technical personnel to exchange ideas, solve problems, and develop innovative solutions.Must have excellent verbal communications skills and written/documentation skills to maintain and present workflows and data flows, develop functional and technical designs, and document dashboard functionality.Willingness to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the field of data analytics and business intelligence.Basic Qualifications:Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degreein business, computer science, data science, statistics, information systems or technology, or a related field is required; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.6+ years managing and leading teams6+ years of experience designing and developing business and data intelligence solutions6+ years in UI, UX space (can be concurrent or overlap with BI experience) demonstrable with evidence of using a combination of user interface tools such as wire frames, prototypes, mock-ups, or white boarding to illustrate product usability.Experience working with large and complex data set able to write queries and calculations. Experience in Alteryx, SQL, data modeling, developing data sets, automated pipelines (ETL), creating dashboards in Looker, Google Dashboards, Data Studio, Power BI, Tableau, Quicksight, or similar platformsProficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Python, R, SAS, Tableau, and Excel. Knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and machine learning algorithms is also important.Empirical understanding of data systems (BI analytics, data blending, data warehousing, data ETL, etc.) on process automation and standardization.Skilled at recommending and making informed decisions based on data analysis and business intelligence.Experience in framing and presenting complex topics through clear frameworks, process diagrams, and data visualizations.Preferred Qualifications: Experience partnering with members of corporate and business to understand business problems and evolving requirements, and working with a team to deliver practical and innovative solutions for real business benefit in a fast-paced environment.Experience building robust data pipelines and analytical models to support automated reporting and insight generation that allow teams to quickly and accurately track their metrics to make data driven decisionsExperience working in a support or development team environment by documenting, researching, solving problems via phone calls or email ticketing system.Experience working directly with business analysts or business sponsors to gather and validate functional requirements and provide design specifications. Ability to identify business problems and develop effective solutions based on data analysis.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for explaining complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical team members and stakeholders.Experience in managing projects, meeting deadlines, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, and flexibility to change priorities when needed.Ability to analyze large amounts of raw data to find patterns and use it to optimize our operationsExperience working in or with a Finance organization or a Finance degree.Experience working with data from the following systems is a plus: Costpoint, Workday, OneStream, Salesforce, Cognos Analytics, Alteryx, Salesforce PSA solution, Clarity, etc.This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):This requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s):Work Location Type:OnsiteMITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
