Billing Service Desk Coordinator – Financial Operations teamLocation: Boston, New York, or Washington, D.C.About the RoleThe Billing Service Desk Coordinator supports the Client Accounting team by handling workflow requests to produce billing data, reports, and answers to procedural questions from internal firm staff and attorneys.Client ServiceConsistently promote and model the Firm’s Client Service Principles in teamwork, work product, and personal interaction.Ensure exemplary client service to all internal and external clients; proactively promote client service throughout the department and among teams; respond to peer requests with the recognition that the request serves a client or Firm need.Using the financial system, department workflows and tools, provide support by reviewing, assigning, and completing ad‑hoc requests for prebills, inventory reports, invoice copies, and general inquiries.Monitor service levels in workflows, ensuring timely responses to requests.Review Outside Counsel Guidelines for firm clients and document provisions relating to client billing.Achieve a solid understanding of client and matter setups, audit matter setups for accuracy.Provide backup to the Client Accounting team in covering absences of team members and distributing prebills during the monthly prebill cycle.Assist with audits and reconciliations of financial data, including reviewing and submitting electronic files to clients.About YouSome college experience, including coursework in accounting or business preferred; an associate’s degree strongly preferred.Prior billing experience is preferred but not required; a strong desire to build a career in legal accounting is required.Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with peers and internal clients.Excellent customer service skills – the ability to determine the nature of a request and answer completely and efficiently, keeping stakeholders informed on complex requests.Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel is required; affinity for learning new software or applications highly desired.Strong attention to detail; the ability to follow instructions with a high degree of accuracy; the ability to prioritize tasks.The ability to keep observations or viewpoints regarding firm business confidential.About MoFoAt MoFo, we collaborate as one firm across borders, practice areas, and business functions and value fresh ideas and innovation over conformity and competition.About Our BenefitsA variety of options for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage.Industry‑leading parental leave and family benefits including adoption and fertility treatment options and backup child and elder care.Global wellness program, including free access to Talkspace and Calm apps.Annual community service day to make an impact on your community and a birthday holiday just for fun.Annual education reimbursement.Dedicated Talent Development team.Competitive annual profit‑sharing contribution.SalaryNew York: $60k – $80kBoston or Washington, D.C.: $55k – $78kAdditional compensation may include a discretionary bonus, overtime as applicable, health/welfare benefits, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and PTO.ContactFor questions regarding this position, please e‑mail jobs@mofo.comSeniority LevelMid‑Senior levelEmployment TypeFull‑timeJob FunctionAccounting/Auditing; Finance; LegalIndustriesAccounting; Law Practice; Legal Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
