**Summary:** Supervise the receiving, put away, replenishment, order picking, packing, shipping, branch transfer functions in the wire cutting, long stock, narrow aisle-wire guided, full pallet, and pick module zones at the Werner Electric Supply Regional Distribution Center. Analyze processes, procedures, policies and make suggestions to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). Assist with all warehouse duties as needed.

**Minimum Requirements:**

* High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional schooling or training beyond high school preferred.

* Previous supervisory experience required, preferably in a multi-shift distribution center/warehouse.

* Must be familiar with database software, order processing systems, and word processing software.

* Must have excellent computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.

* Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) strongly desired.

* Must be able to lift and/or move 10 - 50 pounds.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Select, train, and develop staff members; conduct performance appraisals, recommend salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, and dismissals; and counsel employees on educational and job opportunities.

* Manage and enhance training programs and onboarding experience for warehouse personnel.

* Manage Supervisors, Team Leads, RDC Committees, and cross-departmental meetings to address issues and work on continuous improvements.

* Communicate and inform staff on performance, current assignments, and changes within the department or company by conducting periodic meetings.

* Actively participate in and the creation of development programs to continue team and individual growth.

* Monitor and analyze operations and staff and recommend changes in methods, procedures, organizational structure, and personnel to secure optimum use of resources to meet goals.

* Responsible for the implementation and change management of suggested improvements aligning with Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).

* Define monthly, quarterly, and annual performance goals for warehouse personnel that align with company goals.

* Produce a road map of process improvements for the following year that will help team meet quarterly and annual goals.

* Manage project resources and personnel for large-scale process improvements.

* Manage Pay for Performance (PFP) program to ensure program remains meaningful to employees.

* Lead, manage, and support all continuous improvements for the warehouse operation and leverage technologies; including Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) initiatives

* Ensure that customer orders are correctly processed in accordance with Werner order fulfillment and customer service standards.

* Maintain safety and housekeeping standards. Ensure equipment, building, and racking systems are maintained for safe, efficient use.

* Interact with other departments to resolve any put away or picking issues.

* Responsible for cost containment in use of materials, equipment, and other supplies.

* Produce annual compensation budget that aligns with productivity goals and process improvement for the following year.

* Determine staffing resources and requirements based on historical workload and future sales projections.

* Participate in root cause analysis and make recommendations for improvements in operational procedures, practices, and systems.

* Complete various projects such as error analysis, time studies, workstation layouts, etc to meet and exceed expectations and goals.

* Assist with all warehouse duties as needed, including picking/packing, loading delivery trucks, cutting wire, general clean up, receiving product into the system, and/or product put away.

* Other related duties as assigned.
