Zuern Building Products is currently seeking a full time Dispatch and Warehouse Lead to join our Appleton team.

Job Summary:

The dispatcher & warehouse lead is responsible for setting the example and providing direction in the operation of the warehouse. This is accomplished by leading the staff to provide excellent customer service to customers and to ensure company processes and policies are followed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Plan, organize, guide and lead a safe environment
  2. Enforce and follow all company policies including safety
  3. Oversee and assist material handlers/customer loaders, receiving and drivers
  4. Oversee staffing, hours scheduling, approving PTO, etc. for the warehouse staff
  5. Communicate with other dispatchers on transfers, inventory needs and staff scheduling
  6. Coordinate deliveries/returns with Sales Reps
  7. Manage pick & confirm, invoicing orders, calling customers/contractors before leaving warehouse, processing of returns
  8. Direct contact for Contractors regarding revisions and/or additions on orders
  9. Responsible for inventory management and monthly cycle counts
  10. Maintain truck and forklift maintenance and training for the warehouse staff
  11. Manage warehouse cleanliness and other warehouse & showroom projects given by G.M. or owners
  12. Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  13. Coach, counsel, and discipline employees
  14. Continuous communication with GM/Owners on updates, improvements, etc. as needed
Requirements
  1. Requires High School Diploma and warehouse experience or 2-4 year degree related to business or construction industry
  2. Mathematical skills required to add, subtract, multiply, divide, measurements of square foot and cubic foot
  3. Strong computer skills and understanding of Zuern Building Products software platform
  4. Ability to operate a forklift
  5. Ability to lift and carry 25 to over 100 pounds on a consistent basis with the ability to twist and bend. Possible weight of 125 pounds and over at times.
  6. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  7. Strong attention to detail
  8. Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees and customers
  9. Excellent customer service skills
  10. Valid Wisconsin driver's license and medically able to operate a Zuern company vehicles
  11. Must be willing and able to work out in the warehouse 75% of the time and inside 25% of the time
