MUST:
Experienced Payroll Supervisor
Bachelor s degree in a related field or extensive years of service in payroll;
3 years of payroll experience required
Experience with Federal, state, and local tax filing required
Strong computer software skills with Microsoft Excel, Workday, and Microsoft Word
Ability to work with highly confidential material
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
DUTIES:
Overseeing the daily workflow and operations of the Payroll department
Working closely with Human Resources, Physician Relations, Accounting, and Benefits Departments to ensure that adequate payroll information is incorporated into bi-weekly cycles and recorded accurately
Meeting deadlines for a biweekly payroll in a multi-state and multi-company environment
Overseeing payroll tax filings (e.g., Federal, state, local, and unemployment)
Maintaining relationships with third-party vendors; ensuring accuracy of tax filings, retirement benefits, garnishments, W2 filing and distribution
Troubleshooting software issues related to Payroll processing
Overseeing the Payroll Call Center in order to handle escalated payroll calls
Answering employee s questions regarding compensation, benefits, retirement, and taxes
Working with the Accountants to ensure accurate recording of payroll transactions to the general ledger
Providing assistance with audits as needed
