CFM 56 Engine Shop Technician

Tucson, Arizona

Are you an expert in CFM 56 engines looking to further your career? Located in the historic city of Tucson, we are seeking a skilled CFM 56 Engine Shop Technician to join our dedicated team. Candidates with hands-on experience in module removal and installation are highly valued. Additional expertise in borescope inspections, top and bottom case repairs, engine changes, QEC procedures, AD and SB modifications, hot section replacements, fan blade replacements, lease returns, and pre-buy inspections are also highly sought after.

Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble, test, repair, and reassemble engines, modules, and components
  • Perform regular inspections and diagnose malfunctions

Relevant Skills:

  • Deep understanding of FAA requirements for return-to-service engines and aircraft protocols
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow ESM and AMM manual instructions
  • Team player with the capability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to learn and teach others about work scopes
  • Strong sense of ownership over assigned work scopes
  • Excellent work ethic and leadership qualities that contribute to organizational success
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience as a CFM 56 Engine Technician/Mechanic
  • High school diploma or GED
  • A&P License or equivalent Return to Service (RTS) documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to teach and convey best industry practices in a professional environment

Working Conditions:
