What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP iXp Intern – AI Development

Location: San Francisco, California, US

Expected Duration: 6 months

Expected Start Date: September 2024

As a SAP iXp Intern, you will play a crucial role in our global development unit by providing assistance to architects and/or developers. Your contribution will be vital to the success of our industry-specific software products. Here are the tasks you will be responsible for:

Your tasks include:

  • Supporting development in a Scrum team
  • Develop prototypes on AI related topics
  • Evaluate tools and libraries related to Generative AI
  • Test activities

In addition to these responsibilities, we offer a unique working environment where you will be considered a full member of our development team. This immersive experience will provide you with valuable insights and skills that will benefit your future career in the software development industry.

What you bring:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: informatics, business informatics, computer science and other related fields
  • Experience with NodeJS, JavaScript, Java, SQL
  • Basic knowledge in Generative AI
  • Very good programming skills and good knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Write clean, tested, efficient code that fits well with high standards and quality requirements
  • Good written and spoken English and German skills

Ability to work self-motivated with a sense of responsibility towards stakeholders, Team player, strong analytical, high motivation and good communication skills

Educational Requirements

  • BS or Master’s degree
  • Previous internship experience helpful

Compensation Range Transparency : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 0 - 0(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. SAP offers limited benefits for employees hired into hourly or like roles subject to appliable plan/policy terms.
