Job Profile
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Vice President of Global Applications and Data Analytics to join our global telecommunications equipment distribution company. We are building a modern operations optimized set of global applications enabled by a data layer that will be exciting for an applications specialist to help plan and execute. This pivotal role will be responsible for leading the design and execution of our global applications architecture and creating a comprehensive data analytics platform. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing global teams and driving innovation in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and manage a diverse, global team of application developers, data scientists, and analysts.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting continuous learning and development.
- Provide strategic direction and mentorship to team members, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Global Applications Architecture:
- Design and execute a robust global applications architecture that supports the company's strategic objectives.
- Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of all applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate applications seamlessly across the organization.
- Data Analytics Platform Development:
- Create and implement a comprehensive data analytics platform with advanced analytics capabilities.
- Drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making processes across the organization.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility for all stakeholders.
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute strategic plans for global applications and data analytics initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology strategies with business objectives.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to drive collaborative efforts.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences, showcasing our technological advancements.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in applications development and data analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing global teams and delivering large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of global applications architecture and data analytics platforms.
- Previous successful execution of data analytics platforms with MLOps.
- Experience working with outsourced implementation partners and global support teams.
- Strong program management skills, including ERP rollouts and consolidations.
- Expertise in master data management.
- Excellent presentation skills, particularly in communicating with executive management.
- Strong technical and business acumen.
- A growth mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
