Product Filing Consultant, Variable Product SEC Filing Team, Insurance Product & Operations Law

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team and become an integral member of MassMutual’s Law Department – Variable Product SEC filing team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing business by providing support for MassMutual’s variable annuity and variable life products. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) disclosure documents for MassMutual’s variable annuity and variable life products. Minimum of 10 years’ experience preparing regulatory documents for print, mail and SEC filing.

The Impact:
- Assists attorneys in the preparation of various EDGAR SEC disclosure documents, and EDGAR SEC filings for our variable annuity and life product prospectuses, and related supplements.
- Distributes draft documents to subject matter experts for review and obtain attorney approval of changes.
- Works with financial printer to file HTML/XBRL documents with the SEC and manages the distribution instructions for printing, mailing, and updating our company website.
- Leads the disclosure delivery process, maintains product and underlying fund data files, generates requirements as necessary to add or change product data, performs testing and sign-off of upgrades.
- Supports and helps manage annual and semi-annual underlying fund shareholder report projects.
- Update desktop procedures as needed and perform document retention processes for accurate and complete record-keeping following 38a-1 guidelines.
The Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years’ experience in providing support to SEC EDGAR Filings, variable products or mutual funds.
- Experienced working with financial print vendors.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment/under pressure, multi-task and shift priorities to meet moving and demanding deadlines.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with content management software preferred.
- Utilizes content management system to update documents and proofreads for accuracy.
- Preparation of various EDGAR SEC disclosure documents, and EDGAR SEC filings for our variable annuity and life product prospectuses, and related supplements.
