Overview:


Sentinel Safety & Security Group, LLC is a dynamic strategic ownership group rapidly growing operations in the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of commercial fire sprinkler systems. We are looking to expand our team to include a Benefits Administrator in our Appleton, WI corporate office.


The Benefits Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of a variety of benefit programs including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid leave. This position will need to stay current on all compliance requirements regarding employee benefits and collaborate with the HR team.

Benefits Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Manage all enrollments for new hires and during open enrollment periods. Track completed paperwork for all entities.
  • Serve as the primary resource for employee questions related to enrollment, coverage, and claims.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of all benefit plans and program designs, serving as a subject matter expert for related questions.
  • Assist with benefit plan changes, compliance, and audits.
  • Implement any plan changes, send out internal communications, and track completed paperwork.
  • Process employee benefit calculations.
  • Coordinate daily benefit processes, including but not limited to COBRA enrollments and benefit changes.
  • Assist with all benefit reporting for EEOC, ACA, EEO-1, 5500, and non-discrimination testing for 401(k).
  • Stay current with new laws and regulations surrounding benefits and employee leaves.
  • Assist with implementing and testing updates in HRIS for various benefit programs.
  • Review employee data reports and research any discrepancies or missing information.
  • Create and update process documents for HR and employees.
  • Drive consistency and apply a continuous improvement framework to benefit administration across all entities.
  • Maintain relationships with benefit vendors as assigned.
  • Lead benefit presentations as required.


Benefits Administrator Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of employee benefit administration.
  • Prefer a bachelor’s or associate degree in human resources or a related field.
  • Ability to respect and maintain confidential information.
  • Possess strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a desire to be customer facing.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a drive to be a collaborative team member.
  • Must be well versed in Microsoft Office.
  • Prefer experience in Bamboo and/or ADP HRIS systems.
