  • Brand Ambassador
    1. Represents Market of Choice from a deep brand position in our stores and communities. Always puts brand first, immediately followed by engagement growth and ROI in concept development and event decision making.
    2. Maximizes brand exposure in our communities, working to make a personal connection as the face and voice of Market of Choice.

  • Event Development & Implementation
    1. Responsible for the development and implementation of all events across Southern Oregon stores both on site and in the community. This includes but is not limited to:
      1. Concept development
      2. Budgeting and holding to budget
  • Communication across relevant suppliers, departments and managers
  1. Equipment acquisition as needed
  2. Set up and tear downs
  1. Have and maintain a driving record acceptable by our insurance company; report any driving violations to direct supervisor
  2. Responsible for booking and managing vendor tastings including:
    1. Communication
    2. Scheduling
  • Same day confirmations
  1. Responsible for staffing MoC product and vendor demos.
  2. Will represent MoC at community events including but not limited to:
    1. Chamber of Commerce
    2. Youth sports events
  • Community

  • Corporate and store-level collaboration and accountability:
    1. Reports to VP of Marketing for all approvals, concept development support, weekly activity reporting and bi monthly planning meetings.
    2. Works closely with each store manager to ensure onsite activities meet the needs and expectations of store teams.
    3. Works with Corporate Marketing Designers for all posters, fliers, banners, other event visual needs and messaging.
    4. Works with Corporate Digital Media team for social posting, Google ads, targeted emails, other digital needs.
    5. Works with Corporate Sales Managers as needed for relevant department events.

  • Customer and employee relations
    1. Outstanding service to both external and internal customers (vendors, managers, teammates, store teams)
    2. Communicate in a professional and courteous manner verbally, in writing and by telephone

  • Controlling expenses
    1. Proper storage and usage of products and supplies
    2. Preventive maintenance of equipment
    3. Aware of energy conservation

  • Safety
    1. Be conscious of safety at all times
    2. Help create a safe environment through daily intent, communication and actions
    3. Adhere to all safety programs, procedures and policies
    4. Communicate any known hazards to management

  • Attitude, teamwork & professionalism
    1. Promote good will and be receptive to suggestions and constructive criticism
    2. Respond positively to change and offer positive solutions
    3. Make an effort to continue learning
    4. Display a sense of urgency
    5. Adhere to Market of Choice and department grooming standards (general cleanliness, clean/appropriate uniform, nametag, etc.)
    6. Create and maintain accurate store records
    7. Achieve, maintain, and exceed company standards

    2. Responsibility to all stores and departments

Required Skills, tools and equipment used and Physical Demands

Required Skills

  • Ability to be self-managed, driven, creative, focused on solutions with a positive impact while being highly accountable.
  • Skilled in MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn and use Adobe Suite.
  • Regular, reliable and timely attendance at the work site and an ability to work regular or irregular hours on a consistent basis. Schedule must be flexible due to the nature of events.
  • Adherence with all established Market of Choice policies and procedures and brand expectations.
  • The ability to engage in face-to-face interactions with vendors, customers, and co-workers on a regular basis
  • The ability to maintain a positive attitude, cooperate with others and work as part of a team
  • Attendance at all required trainings
  • The ability to use Market of Choice resources effectively and efficiently to reach goals
  • The ability to clearly and concisely communicate in verbal and written form with customers, co-workers and vendors

  • Reliable transportation able to carry necessary equipment for the job (foldable tent, table, cooler, etc.)
