This position is primarily responsible for general ledger entry of financial information, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis of the income statement, as well as support to the Finance Department managers on special projects and analysis.
Essential Functions:Actively participates in month-end closing by posting journal entries, and compiling and analyzing financial information in order to prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
Performs monthly detailed balance sheet reconciliations and analysis by providing explanations to monthly trends.
Records, monitors, and proposes monthly accruals.
Develops and distributes reports monitoring in order to maintain accountability
Assists management in identifying clinic operational inefficiencies and non-compliance with company policy and developing best practices.
Assists in building vendor relations and subsequent negotiations as appropriate, including but not limited to, preparation and coordination of Request for Proposals.
Works independently and within a team on special non-recurring and ongoing projects.
Assists Accounting Manager with the training and professional development of the Junior Accountant.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Education/Certification: Bachelor's Degree Required
