Reporting to the Associate Controller, the Associate Director of Cash Management supervises the Cash Management group. This role is tasked with overseeing all revenue-related activities for more than $500 million annually associated with Sponsored Projects and Miscellaneous Receivables accounts. This position leads a team of four billing & account specialists and is responsible for reviewing the team's monthly metric reporting, engaging and coordinating with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and providing support to the team to resolve billing and collection issues.
Major duties of this position also include:
- Supports the Cash Management team in resolving billing issues, which involves reviewing and interpreting award documents to recommend appropriate actions.
- Assists in accessing sponsor portals and provides guidance on invoice submission processes.
- Oversees the University's miscellaneous receivables accounts, which includes creating customer master data as requested by various departments or schools and collaborating with University departments to provide guidance regarding invoicing and collection of outstanding accounts receivables.
- Assists in business process re-engineering and systems implementation and enhancement efforts.
- Engages in the planning, development, and implementation of new or revised University policies and procedures.
- Delivers exceptional customer service to external sponsors/customers and to the University community by demonstrating a thorough understanding of the policies and procedures of the Cash Management Office.
- Additionally, prepares, presents, and leads training sessions for the University community.
