Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is seeking Engineers for the Site Mechanical Systems Engineering group. The group is responsible for maintaining various mechanical systems: HVAC, Sanitary Sewer, Domestic Water, Deionized Water, and Boiler Systems at the Naval Reactors Facility.



Provide technical support for various onsite mechanical systems and develop maintenance procedures.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
• Provides effective project management and accountability of engineering schedules.



Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience; orMaster's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently or previously EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (e.g. pumps, motors, HVAC)
• Knowledgeable of Building Codes and Standards
• Experience in development of technical work documents such as work scopes, specifications, or contract documents.
• Familiarity with standard MS Office applications

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston.
