Job Description: Analytics Manager


We are seeking an experienced Analytics Manager to join our dynamic team. This role will play a pivotal part in driving actionable insights and strategic decisions through advanced data analysis and visualization. As an Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Illustrate Key Business Trends: Frame complex business problems, conduct thorough data analysis, interpret findings, and visualize insights effectively.
  • Develop Management Scorecards and Dashboards: Design comprehensive scorecards and dashboards to ensure accurate reporting on key business metrics across various projects and initiatives.
  • Deliver Impactful Analysis: Utilize robust economic, financial, and statistical analysis to deliver actionable insights that drive business outcomes.
  • Scenario Analysis: Estimate the impact of different scenarios using sophisticated analytical and financial models.
  • Optimization and Data Science Techniques: Develop and validate methods to optimize customer interactions (Who, When, Where, How) using advanced data science techniques.
  • Business Intelligence Expertise: Gain in-depth knowledge of relevant data sources, business intelligence technologies, and analytical tools to leverage assets for senior executive inquiries.
  • Effective Communication: Develop compelling presentations and documents to communicate findings with impact and intuition. Proactively communicate factors influencing deliverables to senior management.
  • Methodological Explanation: Clearly explain assumptions and quantitative methodologies to colleagues across different teams.

Requirements:

  • Self-Motivation and Time Management: Ability to work autonomously under tight deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Passionate about delivering accurate, relevant, and impactful insights with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills, capable of adapting communication style to different audiences (technical vs. business, junior vs. senior).
  • Intellectual Curiosity: Demonstrated interest in understanding the drivers of business performance and continuous learning.
  • Adaptability: Aptitude and eagerness to learn new tools and technologies quickly.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Relevant Experience: 3+ years in Strategic Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or Consulting in a digital environment or related field.
  • Educational Background: Quantitative degree (Sciences, Operations Research, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering) or equivalent experience in a data-driven/analytical role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Background in content/media, marketing tech, subscription business, and/or internet industries preferred. Understanding of ecommerce analytics, marketing analytics, experimentation, membership/loyalty analytics, and revenue management techniques a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL; experience using data visualization tools like Tableau or Microstrategy; knowledge of statistics and modeling; familiarity with Python, R, Jupyter, and other analytics/data science tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree: MS degree in Sciences, Operations Research, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar field, or equivalent experience in a data-driven/analytical role.
  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery in Python, R, or other analytics/data science tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
