Business Development Director, Consulting and Technology Join to apply for the Business Development Director, Consulting and Technology role at UHY-US Job Summary Business Development Director, Consulting and Technology is responsible for driving new logos across UHY’s national consulting service lines by expanding the firm’s footprint across the U.S. within key practice areas. This role leads all aspects of the sales process, including segmented prospect targeting, identifying opportunities for service line integration, supporting partners in solution development, assembling pursuit teams, and managing the process from initial contact through to closing and contract finalization. The director is expected to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, deliver strategic presentations and proposals, and collaborate across teams to convert opportunities into new business. Job Description In addition to direct sales responsibilities, the Business Development Director works closely with firm leadership to co‑lead growth efforts through proactive prospecting, relationship‑building, and active participation in industry and professional associations. Generate and qualify new business opportunities for AI, Project Management, Change Management, Business Process Optimization and related consultative services. Increase UHY’s market presence and collaborate with leadership on a cohesive go‑to‑market strategy. Leverage professional affiliations and industry groups to prospect for new business. Initiate meetings with prospective clients and involve subject‑matter experts as needed. Nurture consultative relationships with a long‑term sales approach. Identify marketing and business development initiatives to drive cross‑selling and key account growth. Collaborate across teams to align firm offerings with ideal client profiles. Assist in preparing sales materials, proposals, and prospect communications. Document business development activities in Salesforce and maintain a qualified pipeline. Provide ongoing market insights to National Sales Organization management. Preferred Network Strengths Strong connections with C‑Suite executives and decision‑makers. Active involvement in industry organizations and professional associations. Engagement with Chief Accounting Officer and VP of Finance to drive business opportunities. Experience with Middle Market and Enterprise companies. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, marketing or equivalent experience. 8‑10 years of professional services sales experience. Understanding of accounting and/or professional services business issues, strong ability to uncover needs and develop solutions. Proven success meeting or exceeding annual sales targets. Experience leveraging a CRM tool (e.g., Salesforce) for sales tracking. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint). Preferred Education and Experience Master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, marketing or equivalent. Prior consultative selling experience for a consulting or accounting firm. Experience in a professional services environment, such as a CPA firm or financial consulting firm. Prior FP&A experience with software or services.
