Globally headquartered in the Houston, TX area, the company serves power and energy customers worldwide and prides itself on the exceptional quality of its services. Its team is dedicated, professional, and customer-centric which has earned the company a stellar industry reputation for delivering value and led to consistent repeat and referral business.

We are actively recruiting for a Director of Sales & Marketing to join the company in the Southeast Houston area. As a key role to success and profitability, the position will report directly to the President and have a high level of visibility and influence across the business. The Director will be focused on the development and execution of the company’s sales and marketing strategies, and leading the team to meet and exceed revenue goals.

What you’ll do:Develop sales plans and strategies for new business.Increase market share within the energy services sector.Direct the sales and marketing team to achieve company objectives.Identify and set goals, plans, budgets, and initiatives to develop and maintain a highly successful team.Manage the pipeline of opportunities and provide sales coaching and support for critical negotiations.Provide continuous verbal and written updates showing sales volume, forecast of potential sales, and status of active pursuits.Develop technical expertise related to services offered to execute sales within the power and downstream energy sectors.Present and sell the company’s solutions to all levels within client organizations.Maintain a high state of integrity and professionalism in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the position.Build a sales and marketing team with qualified top-notch talent as company growth dictates.Travel internationally in pursuit of developing business and maintaining relationships.Other duties as assigned.

What you’ve got:Bachelor’s degree preferred in management, marketing, or related field required.Minimum of 10 years of business development experience in the downstream market,Minimum of 5 years managing and developing a business development team.Exceptional business and communication skills with the ability to work with senior-level management and stakeholders both internally and externally. *Proven track record of increasing sales pipeline and growing customer accounts.

Key traits, skills, and experiences:Self-motivated, driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, credible, and reliable.Empathic communicator, with excellent face-to-face, telephone, and written communication skills, and superior presentation abilities.Strong PC skills with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, projects, and presentation software.Ability to build relationships at all levels as well as build a strong team.Able to plan, organize, direct, and be accountable for meeting goals.
