Job Summary and Qualifications

The role of the OR Tech II is to assist the OR team in the care of patients, equipment and supplies. The OR Tech II has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon as well as has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. 

What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT)
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • At least 1 year of experience required
  • In addition to meeting the requirements of an OR Tech I position, must also be competent to perform as first scrub in three of the four following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine and Vascular Surgery
