Description

This position is for our retail community outpatient pharmacy which is located onsite at Providence St. Peters Hospital.

Performs duties of filling and dispensing hospital discharge and community pharmacy prescriptions. Experience in Community/Retail pharmacy is preferred (1 year minimum). Performs all duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and reflects the Sisters of Providence Mission and Philosophy.

Required qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training and Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician Level A training program certified by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy. Or equivalent educ/experience
  • Upon hire: Washington Pharmacy Technician License
  • Experience with telephone call prioritization.
  • Experience with stressful/urgent need situations.
  • 3 months of Practical experience in a hospital pharmacy under the direct supervision of pharmacist.
  • Experienced in IV admixture/aseptic techniques.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year of community/retail pharmacy experience.
