Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager | Hybrid in Chicago | Must Reside in Illinois Are you a polished corporate accounting professional ready to accelerate your career? About the Role This opportunity is designed for strong corporate accountants who have worked in midsize to large companies and are looking for progression. Depending on experience, this role can start as a Senior Accountant with a promotion to Accounting Manager within 6 months, or as an Accounting Manager with a path to Controller in 1-2 years. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on revenue recognition and reporting. Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls. Assist with audits and ensure accurate, timely reporting for leadership. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA strongly preferred but not required for top candidates). 3-8 years of progressive corporate accounting experience. Experience in a publicly traded company or large corporate environment. Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs). Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively with leadership. Stable work history with clear career progression.
