If you want to discover a career with greater purpose, join us as we transform and accelerate research and development.As Director of Business Development, you will lead strategic sales initiatives, manage high-performing teams, and drive growth through innovative client engagement and business acquisition strategies.What you’ll be doing:Leading and managing a high-performing business development team, including performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development.Designing and executing a strategic sales program to drive organizational growth and meet revenue targets.Building and maintaining senior-level client relationships to identify and secure new business opportunities.Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align business development strategies with operational capabilities.Overseeing the development and execution of Customer Account Plans to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.Participating in proposal preparation and defense meetings to support business acquisition efforts.Representing the sales team in senior leadership meetings, providing updates on key business activities.Ensuring sales team members are trained and equipped to meet performance objectives.What we are looking for:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field.Minimum 15 years of relevant industry experience (CRO/Pharmaceutical), including 10 years in a leadership role.Proven track record in sales and business development within the life sciences industry.Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.The knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this role:Strong understanding of drug development, commercialization, and industry trends.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.What we offer you:We put our employees at the center of everything we do and are committed to providing them, and their families, with benefits that meet their diverse and changing needs.
