Food & Beverage Administrative AssistantMajor Food Group is hiring a Food & Beverage Administrative Assistant to join our team at Contessa, a rooftop destination atop The Newbury Boston. Delightfully re‑imagined, Contessa is inspired by old‑world European resorts and Italian estates, offering classic grand trattoria cuisine.Base Pay Range$20.00/hr - $20.00/hrResponsibilitiesOversee and coordinate day‑to‑day activities of office administrative support staff, including management and training, scheduling, prioritizing work assignments, and implementing effective operating policies, procedures, and systems.Become knowledgeable in all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs for the restaurant.Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner.Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.Work with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to ensure back‑of‑the‑house needs are being met.Provide manager reminders and paperwork processing such as performance reviews, new‑hire/terminated associate paperwork, appointments, messages, spreadsheets, files.Assist on special projects as assigned.Act as an ambassador to Major Food Group culture.Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Restaurants.QualificationsMinimum 2-3 years administrative assistance and/or client services preferably in the hospitality industry.Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers.Strong written and oral communication skills, and administrative skills.Proficiency in Excel, InDesign, Illustrator, and Tripleseat preferred but not required.Strong work ethic, enthusiasm, team‑oriented attitude, positive attitude essential.Required SkillsManagement skillsTraining skillsScheduling skillsPrioritization skillsOrganizational skillsProject management skillsAttention to detailProblem solving skillsInterpersonal skillsCustomer service skillsTime management skillsAdaptabilityCollaboration skillsCultural awarenessInitiativeBenefitsCompetitive salaryMedical/Dental/Vision insurance with company subsidyGrowth opportunitiesProgressive paid time offParental leaveTuition reimbursementGenerous dining allowanceUnlimited referral programEqual Employment OpportunityMajor Food Group considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, age, disability, marital or veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status.
