An international manufacturer specializing in pharmaceutical robotics equipment is searching for a Production Supervisor to join their team in the greater Chicago area. The ideal candidate is a team player with an eye for detail and strong analytical skills. Production Supervisor Responsibilities:
Supervision of production associates including timekeeping, training, disciplinary measures, performance reviews, etc.
Production planning and scheduling, including assisting with production process improvement initiatives
Delegate tasks to production associates to ensure best utilization of resources
Ensure proper compliance with all workplace safety and environmental regulations
Lead daily/weekly team meetings for production associates and team/group leaders
Other duties as assigned
Production Supervisor Qualifications:
Four Year Degree in Operations Management or relevant field OR combination of High School Diploma/GED and comparable work experience
Prior leadership experience in a multicultural team environment
Minimum of three years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment
Background in Kaizen, Kanban, and/or 5S principles preferred
Prior experience with ERP systems a plus
Strong attention to detail
Bilingual English/Japanese speaking ability is a plus
This position includes work in a manufacturing and warehousing environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk, and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
