 Distribution Support Specialist I – Inventory Control

Starting pay $17/hr to increase to $18.05 when permanent
Sunday-Thursday or Monday-Friday 5pm-1am
Some Weekend work is required

Provides administrative support to Logistics by performing the following duties:

Job Summary:

• Implements and follows a control system to reduce damage, breakage and inventory obsolescence.
• Reports shortages, overages for daily replenishment.
• Completes physical inventory counts as required by set standards.
• Reconciles the inventory records for a complete and accurate count.
• Adjusts inventory errors in computation or count or investigates and reports reason for discrepancies.
• Reports checker, selector and fork errors through reporting processes.
• Performs other warehouse duties as required. Includes nightshift window and receiving clerk duties.

Job Qualifications:

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• One or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education 
   required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Intermediate knowledge of distribution operations.
• Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
• Ability to work in industrial environment
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Frequently required to stand and walk, use hands and arms for tasks that require lifting and reaching. Frequently     
  required to talk and hear. Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb. Close vision, distance  
  vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus required.
• Work is generally performed in a warehouse setting.
