What You'll Be Doing:

The Foreman's responsibility is to assist and aid the Project Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent. The Foreman will be responsible for managing subcontractors and Fransen Pittman crew members, organizing the day to day operations, and leading and directing crews in carrying out assigned work. The Foreman also ensures safe and proper use of gear, tools and equipment.

Responsibilities:

Safety

  • Partner with the Safety/Environmental Director to maintain Fransen Pittman's current high level of safety compliance on all projects
  • Performing regular and consistent safety audits and conducting weekly safety meetings
  • Maintain inventory of site personal protective equipment
Subcontractor Management
  • Hold subcontractors and vendors to Fransen Pittman's standard of excellence
  • Manage subcontractors to follow the master schedule and proper sequencing
  • Manage all subcontractors for full compliance with specifications and drawings
Employee Management
  • Conduct daily morning task meetings with Fransen Pittman crew members
  • Provide guidelines to our employees about our quality policies, standards and procedures
General Duties
  • Maintain the storm water compliance program including regular audits, management of pollution sources, and thorough documentation
  • Aid and assist the Project Superintendent with completion of close-out and all building commissioning.
  • Assist the Project Superintendent with take offs and material orders
  • Ensure all inspections are completed in accordance with project schedule and local jurisdictions and following up with any discrepancies
  • Assist Project Superintendent with accurate monthly equipment and labor projections
  • Be actively engaged in preconstruction and subcontractor meetings
  • Complete thorough and factual daily logs that clearly describe the activities of the day
  • Keep tools and equipment in good repair. Arrange for pickup of tools and equipment when tools are needed.
  • Treat client, representatives, trade partners, and design professionals with respect and professionalism
What we're looking for:
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience with at least 1-year experience as a foreman or lead man
  • Effectively communicate with Project Superintendent and all other team members
  • Ability to read, understand, and analyze all project drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Bluebeam
  • Knowledge of inspection process and procedures
  • Ability to read and execute project schedule
  • Working knowledge of subcontractor's scope of work and specification
  • Knowledge of local storm water requirements and regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and extreme attention to detail
  • OSHA 10-hour certification is required; OSHA 30 hour is a plus
  • Must have a current driver's license and clean driving record
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
  • Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
