Salary: $90k - $105k
Reports to: General Manager or Executive Vice President of Sales
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and elevate our outside sales team. Under the guidance of the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, developing actionable strategies, and ensuring team success. This is a leadership role where you’ll have the opportunity to influence business growth, nurture client relationships, and lead a high-performing team to exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Inspire: Manage, hire, train, and coach a talented sales team to achieve team and company objectives.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales business plan aligned with revenue goals. Analyze sales data to identify opportunities, forecast trends, and make strategic recommendations.
- Drive Performance: Set and monitor sales targets, assign leads, and guide the team toward exceeding goals.
- Business Development: Generate new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and leverage upsell/cross-sell opportunities to grow revenue.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, production, and other teams to develop effective sales collateral, pricing documents, and promotional materials.
- Customer Focus: Resolve client issues and ensure a seamless experience from sales to project completion.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activity and performance data to monitor progress and refine strategies.
- Mentorship: Foster a positive, collaborative team environment through continuous training, motivation, and performance feedback.
- Achieve Results: Consistently exceed weekly and monthly sales quotas, while maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 5+ years in sales, with a proven track record of success in the roofing industry or a related field.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM systems.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with roofing industry trends, building codes, and sales best practices.
- License: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
