Financial Reporting Specialist
Location: Boston MA
Compensation: 90-100k + bonus
KBW has partnered with a leading investment management firm to hire a Financial Reporting Specialist in Boston, MA. This is a full-time, on-site role offering a competitive salary of $80K-$100K plus bonus, profit sharing, and 80% paid benefits. Additional perks include a fully stocked kitchen with breakfast and lunch served daily.
About the Role:
The Financial Reporting Specialist will play a vital role in preparing financial statements, regulatory reports, and investor-specific deliverables. This position involves working closely with internal teams, auditors, and external entities to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare annual, quarterly, and interim financial statements and footnotes in accordance with GAAP.
Produce quarterly SEC, CFTC/NFA, and annual CIMA regulatory reports.
Respond to investor inquiries and prepare monthly investor reports.
Perform monthly/quarterly accounting reconciliations to validate accounting records.
Compile audit deliverables and review formal auditor communications.
Incorporate consolidation accounting across legal entities into reporting.
Evaluate compliance thresholds and portfolio constraints for investors.
Analyze daily trades for accurate classification in the accounting system.
Assist with foreign regulatory reporting (e.g., Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal).
Prepare materials for Board of Directors and weekly Deals meetings.
Research accounting guidance and update financial statements accordingly.
Participate in operational improvements, ad-hoc analyses, and special projects.
Qualifications:

Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Accounting.
1-2 years of experience in financial services; hedge fund or private equity experience is a plus.
CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.
Knowledge of fixed income securities, derivatives, complex financial instruments, and master-feeder structures is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Total Return accounting software is a plus.
Strong analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
