Position Summary

Indiana University South Bend is seeking to fill a non-tenure track Assistant Clinical Professor in School Psychology position. This position will be part of a multi-campus program with faculty from Indiana University East and Indiana University Kokomo. This temporary academic position is grant-funded through the U.S. DOE Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration grant, a five-year grant that continues until December 31, 2027. The position is subject to annual review for reappointment and is contingent upon continued grant funding and program enrollment. The position would begin August 1, 2024. H-1B Visa sponsorship is not available for these positions.

The Assistant Clinical Professor will work as part of a multi-campus team and as part of a campus-based unit within the School of Education on the South Bend campus. Due to the collaboration across campuses, this position will involve a combination of remote work and on-campus work at the IU South Bend Campus, with occasional travel to the other IU campuses.

Responsibilities include:
  • Teach graduate school psychology courses for the new Ed.S. School Psychology hybrid program. The course will be hybrid and online, with local school-based placements.
  • Assist in recruiting and advising school psychology graduate students.
  • Provide clinical supervision to school psychology/graduate students.
  • Assist with the implementation of grant deliveries (e.g. experiential learning, career development, and professional mentoring) and data collection.
  • Fulfill service and reporting responsibilities to the school and campus.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty from other campuses and K-12 schools and agencies.
  • This position is grant funded and is in year 2 of 5 that continues until December 3, 2027.
  • The position is subject to annual review for reappointment and is contingent upon grand funding and program enrollment. H-1B Visa sponsorship is not available.

Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • ABD or Ed.S. in School Psychology from an accredited institution
  • School-based experience as a school psychologist, National Certification as a School Psychologist (NCSP), and/or licensure (or license-eligible) in Indiana.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completed Doctorate in School Psychology
  • Experience with and demonstration of successful teaching and curricular planning at the university level
  • Demonstrated success working with diverse faculty and student populations
  • 3-5 years experience in K-12 settings
