Position Overview:
The Department of Psychology at Teachpsych is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology. This role involves teaching undergraduate psychology courses and contributing to a hybrid Master's program in Mental Health Counseling.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering undergraduate courses in psychology, including but not limited to general psychology, abnormal psychology, and ethics.
  • Teaching courses in the Master's program such as foundations of mental health counseling, group counseling, and assessment.
  • Supervising undergraduate practica and mentoring students.
  • Participating in departmental service and contributing to the assessment of student learning outcomes.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology or a closely related discipline. Experience in face-to-face teaching at the undergraduate level is essential, along with a commitment to student-centered learning and collaboration. Candidates should also have an interest in or experience with online teaching methodologies.

Licensure to practice independently is required, and applicants must be licensed or license-eligible in the relevant state.
