About This Role
As the Accounting Manager at Writer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's financial health and success. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and managing accounts payable and receivables. With your expertise, you'll provide valuable insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and drive the company's growth.
Reporting to the head of finance, the accounting manager will supervise the accounting function, which currently has one full-time employee, and provide timely, accurate, and useful accounts.
????️Your responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- We analyze financial data and prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare and file tax returns
- Providing financial advice and guidance to management
- Work with external auditors and other financial professionals
- Keep current on accounting standards and best practices
- Identify and mitigate financial risks
- Supervise and scale accounting team
- Strong accounting and financial management skills
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, with timely and accurate close
- Track record of managing first audit at growth technology companies
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience leading accounting team, and working independently
- Proficiency in accounting software, with experience upgrading ERP
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- CPA, with at least 10 years of experience
- High intellectual curiosity and a proclivity to lean into a new subject matter
