New York, United States iSphere Innovation Partners, LLC Full time

Are you an experienced Epic Security professional looking for an exciting opportunity to join a leading IT consulting company? iSphere.net, a premier IT consulting firm, is seeking an Epic Security Analyst II for a full-time, 3 days onsite a week, opportunity in New York, NY (Manhattan). In this role, you will be responsible for managing the security of our client's Epic EHR system. You will process user provisioning requests, monitor system activity, identify risks and breaches, and collaborate with Epic project teams to ensure system integrity. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your Epic Security expertise while being part of a collaborative, innovative culture.

A current Epic Security Certification is mandatory

Job Description

The Epic Security Analyst II must understand the hospital system's Epic's Security infrastructure and possess in-depth knowledge of role-based user provisioning protocols and methods - both manual and automated. The Security Analyst will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the Epic Security team in the Epic IT division.

The person in this role will be expected to maintain the Epic SER (Provider) database. He/she will work with members of the User and Security Workgroups, the Provider (SER) Workgroup, Epic Project Teams, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and end-users to tailor the system to fit the needs of the organization.

The Epic Security Analyst II will fulfill Epic security requests that may come from all areas of the hospital system and will monitor the system activity of all end users. The Epic Security Analyst will analyze usage and trends, identify potential risks, and identify issues and breaches. The Security analyst may frequently work on and resolve issues under stressful and time-sensitive conditions.

The Security Analyst may also be called upon to help with other (non-Epic) network security related tasks, so a working knowledge of both Epic security and general security is highly recommended.

The Epic Security Analyst routinely performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, audits, and other technical issues associated with the use of EPIC software; is responsible for developing and documenting the internal procedures that will be used in conjunction with Epic applications, and will design, build, test, install and maintain those solutions.
