  • Prepare executive level presentations summarizing findings and recommending actions

  • Leverage market research and strategic frameworks to create strategic plans for Suffolk enterprise and individual regions/business units, including support of annual and 5-year planning processes
  • Support the business planning and process development of internal start-ups/new verticals within the Suffolk enterprise
  • Analyze new market opportunities within and outside the core business and develop business plans to assess growth potential and go-to-market strategy
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, including M&A, for strategic fit and financial return
  • Design corresponding organization and operating model to support the implementation of strategic decisions
  • 'Manage up' by appropriately engaging team and company leadership on critical findings or decision points, while acting as a collaborative partner and mentor to colleagues inside and outside the Strategy organization
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of pre-MBA strategy consulting experience
  • 1-2 years within construction, manufacturing, or adjacent industry preferred, but not required
  • Strong problem-solving skills including using a hypothesis-driven approach to define and deconstruct problems, structure appropriate quantitative and qualitative/conceptual analyses, and identify implications and "so what's" of data and analysis
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to prioritize and drive multiple simultaneous projects
  • Strong financial and Excel modeling skills; experience in Tableau and Alteryx preferred, but not required
  • Ability to formulate and deliver complex information to senior management in a concise and clear way, in both written and oral presentation
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership qualities with demonstrated ability to gain the confidence of individuals at all levels of the company
