Communications Specialist

The Communications Specialist will:
- Develop and execute the communications strategy for the Customer Service Division PMO including key messaging, communication channels, and campaigns
- Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure all communications are timely and relevant
- Create and deliver written and digital content, including email, newsletters, intranet, videos, and presentations
- Establish and maintain library of survey templates
- Develop communications metrics and reporting
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure communication is clear, consistent and aligns with the department’s strategic plan and project goals
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications and adjust using feedback received
Minimum skills and qualifications:
- Degree in Communications, Business, Journalism or Marketing/Advertising
- 5+ years of experience developing written and digital content for employees, customers, key stakeholders, and executive audiences
- Excellent oral, written and editing skills
- Ability to write clear, persuasive, and engaging content for a variety of platforms
- Knowledge of best practices for audience-based communication
- Expert skill level in Microsoft Office suite of products, Teams, SharePoint, and Forms; Adobe; Canva or similar visual graphic software
- Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and re-prioritize quickly
Preferred Experience
- Developed written and digital content for large-scale projects
- Operational knowledge of customer service, billing, and field operations for water and gas utility
- Project management experience
- Experience using WordPress
