Job Summary:

Responsible for the Busbar product design/development for Interplex Datacom division.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Fully understand customer application and busbar product technical requirements.
  • Design or optimize customer original design for busbar products according to customer application and product technical requirements, and output products 3D and 2D drawings.
  • Communicate with customers by DFM & DFA for busbar products.
  • Assist costing team for busbar projects FRQ.
  • Responsible for following the prototype production and ensure qualified products are delivered to customers on time.
  • Support all testing (electrical & mechanical) with QA team.
  • Support to solve production issue with ME and production team.
  • Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree (Master degree is preferred) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5+ years of working experience in busbar product development, be familiar with Rigid busbar, Flexible busbar, Hot Laminated busbar, Insert-molding busbar and Assembly busbar.
  • Has experience in interacting with customers during the design development and be able to provide technical recommendation to help improve the customer design and/or avoid problem when in mass production.
  • Knowledge of server, rail transit, wind power, solar power, electric vehicle and other industry standards.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal, injection molding, welding, plating, dipping, potting, insulation materials etc.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulations around busbar and/or power connectors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is a must.
  • Familiar with busbar design (electrical and structure) and process application.
  • Familiar with busbar test specification of electrical (Hi-pot, Electrical resistance and insulation resistance, PD, T-rise, stray capacitance/inductance,) and mechanical parts.
  • Good knowledge of busbar quality control.
  • Skill of 3D design software with Creo, SolidWorks or others.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Be proficient in CAE simulation (Ansys) is preferred. (This is a plus)
