Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Job Specialty: Medicine Specialty Step Down

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night - 12x3 - 7PM - 7AM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required

License: Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).

Certifications:
- Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association

Must-Have:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Some computer skills

Job Description:
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting all changes in physician orders.
- Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observing physiological manifestations and intervening when necessary.
- Administer medication as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Provide competent patient care and interact with patients and families regarding care plans.
- Inform patients and families about hospital procedures and make referrals to appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Delegate tasks to support staff as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
