Martin Brûlé Studio specializes in interior architecture and design services with offices in Paris & New York. The studio is currently hiring an experienced Interior Architect/Designer to work on current and upcoming residential design projects. The ideal candidate will bring with them a wealth of knowledge in luxury residential interior design that they use to lead a team of four designers.
A growing interior design firm, Martin Brûlé Studio seeks a motivated designer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant design experience to join our practice. The ideal candidate should have experience in high-end renovations and architectural projects, working on all phases of development for both FF&E and design documents.
The Senior Designer would work directly with the firm's principal designers to ensure the facilitation of a project’s completion meeting timelines and budgets. Candidates must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and creative. An ideal Senior Designer should have a high level of knowledge in concept development, design and construction documents, and project management skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage timelines and priorities as part of a cross-functional team and collaboratively meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrates a highly organized and systematic approach to producing a project
- Complete package of deliverables for project phases
- Keeps all team members informed of status of projects and deliverables
- Coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections
- Research and source interior products and relevant interior finishes/materials for review
- Maintain and manage project folders with all related drawings, specs, schedules, etc…
- Review quotes and shop drawings
- Work closely with team to ensure all drawings and documents clearly and accurately communicate the design intent
- Regular meetings with team to review progress and ensure questions and concerns are addressed
- Troubleshoot problems and finding solutions on construction site to move project forward
- Flexibility to work on multiple projects in various stages of development
- Work closely with clients
- Flexibility to travel
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 plus years’ experience in interiors
- High level drafting using AutoCAD, including space planning, schedules, details of custom furniture, lighting, etc.
- Presentation tools including Adobe Suite and basic office software like Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of 3-D computer modeling skills (Sketchup, 3D Max, Rhino etc.) a plus
- Work closely with design team to execute projects but confident in leading a project from start to finish
- Extensive knowledge of FF&E selection (materials, finishes, detailing, and scheduling), methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, products or other structures.
- Knowledge of NYC design resources - furniture, fabrics, wallcoverings, vendors, artisans

Martin Brûlé Studio, cabinet de design d'intérieur en pleine expansion, recherche un designer motivé avec un minimum de 5 ans d'expérience pertinente en design pour se joindre à notre cabinet. Le candidat idéal doit avoir de l'expérience dans les rénovations haut de gamme et les projets architecturaux, travaillant sur toutes les phases de développement à la fois pour les équipements et les documents de conception.
Le concepteur principal travaillera directement avec les concepteurs principaux du cabinet afin d'assurer la facilitation de l'achèvement d'un projet dans le respect des délais et des budgets. Les candidats doivent être extrêmement organisés, soucieux du détail et créatifs. Le concepteur principal idéal doit posséder un niveau élevé de connaissances en matière de développement de concepts, de conception et de documents de construction, ainsi que des compétences en matière de gestion de projet.
RESPONSABILITÉS PROFESSIONNELLES
- Gérer les délais et les priorités dans le cadre d'une équipe interfonctionnelle et respecter les délais serrés en collaboration.
- Faire preuve d'un grand sens de l'organisation et d'une approche systématique dans la réalisation d'un projet.
- Réaliser l'ensemble des produits livrables pour les différentes phases du projet
- Tenir tous les membres de l'équipe informés de l'état d'avancement des projets et des produits livrables.
- Coordination des plans de finition, des spécifications et des sélections de matériaux
- Rechercher et trouver des produits d'intérieur et des finitions/matériaux d'intérieur pertinents à des fins d'examen.
- Maintenir et gérer les dossiers du projet avec tous les plans, spécifications, calendriers, etc.
- Examiner les devis et les dessins d'atelier
- Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l'équipe pour s'assurer que tous les dessins et documents communiquent clairement et précisément l'intention de la conception.
- Réunions régulières avec l'équipe pour faire le point sur l'avancement des travaux et s'assurer que les questions et les préoccupations sont prises en compte.
- Résoudre les problèmes et trouver des solutions sur le chantier pour faire avancer le projet.
- Flexibilité pour travailler sur plusieurs projets à différents stades de développement
- Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les clients

QUALIFICATIONS PROFESSIONNELLES
- Plus de 5 ans d'expérience dans le domaine de l'aménagement intérieur
- Dessin de haut niveau à l'aide d'AutoCAD, y compris la planification de l'espace, les horaires, les détails du mobilier personnalisé, l'éclairage, etc.
- Outils de présentation, y compris la suite Adobe et les logiciels de bureautique de base tels que Microsoft Office
- Connaissance de la modélisation informatique en 3D (Sketchup, 3D Max, Rhino, etc.) un plus.
- Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l'équipe de conception pour exécuter les projets, mais être capable de diriger un projet du début à la fin.
- Connaissance approfondie de la sélection des équipements (matériaux, finitions, détails et calendrier), des méthodes et des outils utilisés dans la construction ou la réparation de maisons, de bâtiments, de produits ou d'autres structures.
- Connaissance des ressources de design de New York - meubles, tissus, revêtements muraux, vendeurs, artisans.
