The Pet Care business unit of Spectrum Brands is based in St. Louis, Missouri with distribution, manufacturing and sales offices throughout the US and globe. **Job Summary**

Perform repetitive work in a work station assembly process to produce components for consumer or commercial aquarium/aquarium products. Follow standard work instructions and practice safe work habits to ensure process is as efficient and safe as possible.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**

* Performs assembly type functions including custom assembly in multiple stages

* Must be able to use power tools.

* Notify Production Supervisor or Production Specialist of any quality or production issues.

* Reading unit drawings/floor layouts.

* Measuring component assemblies

* Perform other tasks as assigned.

* Ability to work over 8 hours as needed based on business demands.

**Education and Experience Profile**

* This position will be required to perform basic math.

* This position requires a high school diploma or the equivalent GED.

* This position will require one year of manufacturing experience.

* 2-5 years assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.

**Required Skills**

* Must have strong assembly skills. Ability to work in a work station setting.

* Able to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies.

* Must be able to accurately fill out a PQV sheet, Production Schedule and Scrap Sheet.

* Must be able to effectively manage time.

* Aptitude for attention to detail and accuracy.

* Ability to frequently lift up to 35lbs. Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally.

* Must be able to work in a team environment or independently.

* Maintain a clean and safe work area.

* Capability to stand at least 8 hours. Also be able to work on floor level as needed.

* Ability to use ladders.

* Must be comfortable using power tools such as drill, flame polisher, grinders, band saw, table saw, etc.

* Must wear designated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

**Work Environment**

* Work performed in a factory manufacturing setting.

* Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes.

* Required to stand, bend, reach and move about facilities.
