About Your Future Role Leading and supporting the sales and banquet teams is what you'll be doing, but here at the Willows Event Center, growing and developing the people on your team is why you'll be doing it. Managing a high-capacity event team will require you to not just be a strong operational leader but a highly relational leader as well. And if this describes your leadership style, you could be the one we have been searching for As the Event Manager, you'll oversee all things banquet planning and sales, which means you should be able to toggle between a customer service and entrepreneurial mindset. Are you up for the challenge of increasing sales, improving processes, and maintaining a five-star guest experience for each and every Willows event? Do I Qualify For This Role? We are so glad you asked You can't get around the fact that it takes a special kind of mind to toggle between profit margins, proactive team growth plans, and hors d'oeuvres. You'll need to come in with extensive event experience, a business degree, and a strong record of leading people successfully. What’s the Average Week Like? A typical work week for you will average 40-45 hours to ensure the people closest to you get to experience the best of you. Days and weekends will be required due to the nature of when most of our events are held. Occasionally, we’ll also have lunch meetings and corporate gatherings that require some of your lunch or weekend hours, but those things are not the norm. A healthy work/life balance is not just one of those things we say we value… it’s expected.
