What You Will Do:
Raytheon currently has an exciting IT systems administrator position available that supports the Raytheon mission of making the world a safer place. We are seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator that will be working in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multi–disciplined environment. The System Administrator must possess a secret security clearance as they will be responsible for administering systems that contain classified data.
The candidate is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows infrastructure for classified programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, server management (software and hardware); storage management (logical and physical); cross platform authentication and access management; data backup and restoration; software and license configuration; and workstation support.
Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
Understanding of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies.
Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically, Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Must have an active Secret US Secret security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience with some of, but not limited to, the following technologies: Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, BackupExec, NetBackup, prior systems administration and networking administration experience, Windows administration, backup, and recovery enterprise suites.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Windows desktops (Windows 10, 11), Splunk and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
Scripting - PowerShell, Bash
Experience with Server architectures and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification.
Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange
Linux experience.

The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
