- What You Will Do:*
- Raytheon currently has an exciting IT systems administrator position available that supports the Raytheon mission of making the world a safer place. We are seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator that will be working in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multi–disciplined environment. The System Administrator must possess a secret security clearance as they will be responsible for administering systems that contain classified data.
- The candidate is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows infrastructure for classified programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, server management (software and hardware); storage management (logical and physical); cross platform authentication and access management; data backup and restoration; software and license configuration; and workstation support.
- Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
- Understanding of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies.
- Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
- Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
- Full time 100% Onsite position.
- Qualifications You Must Have:*
- Typically, Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Must have an active Secret US Secret security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with some of, but not limited to, the following technologies: Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, BackupExec, NetBackup, prior systems administration and networking administration experience, Windows administration, backup, and recovery enterprise suites.
- Qualifications We Prefer:*
- Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Windows desktops (Windows 10, 11), Splunk and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
- Scripting - PowerShell, Bash
- Experience with Server architectures and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
- Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification.
- Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
- Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
- Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
- Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange
- Linux experience.
