The world-renowned physicians and staff of the Russell H. Morgan Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences combine the latest in treatment and medical imaging with the highest level of patient care. The subspecialty experience of our more than 100 radiologists contributes to greater accuracy in reading and interpreting hundreds of thousands of medical images every year.
Johns Hopkins Radiology is seeking an experienced and motivated quality improvement and patient safety leader to join our elite team of imaging professionals. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing patient safety, driving change through quality improvement initiatives, and assisting to streamline processes within the imaging department. Reporting to the Radiology Assistant Director of QI and Patient Safety, you will support the department in setting, measuring, and implementing key quality and patient safety priorities. Responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the departmental leaders to establish, measure, and report on patient safety, quality, and clinical operation initiatives
- Assisting in the identification, planning, and execution of quality and process improvement activities
- Facilitating and supporting multidisciplinary teams/committees to carry out performance improvement and safety initiatives
- Managing and reviewing patient safety events to identify patterns/opportunities
- Leading root cause/learning from defects discussions related to patient safety events
- Providing educational support/training to front-line teams related to QI/LEAN strategies

Mimimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in the fields of Nursing, Public Health, Health Policy, Business Administration, Health Administration, or a field related to quality engineering or business process improvment
- Completion of an accreditied Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Doctor, Doctor of Osteopathy, Physician Assistant Program or certified as a Medical Radiation Technologist by the Maryland Board of Physician Qualidy Assurance is preferred
- Record of participating in educational programs involving quality improvement tools/methods, leadership, teaching, problem solving, and project management is strongly preferred
- Five (5) years of experience with at least three (3) years of the experience involving the applicationof scientific quality improvement methods (preferrably in a healthcare organization)
- No more than two (2) out of the five (5) years may be in the general skill areas of : teaching, performing quantitative analysis, communicating with organizational leadership
- A minimum of five (5) years clinical experience as a radiology technologist, staff nurse, MD, Pharmacist, D.O. or P.A is preferred

Salary Range: Minimum 36.49 per hour - Maximum 60.26 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
