Job Summary: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a part-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a position in the Lancaster area.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares patients for visits by using appropriate rooming standards tools • Administers injections and medications as prescribed by providers • Performs Point of Care Testing, including hearing, flu, urine, and strep tests • Removes sutures and changes dressings on wounds as necessary • Provides clinical advice by phone/electronic correspondence and relays information to patients • Assists with test tracking and monitoring overdue results • Maintains and cleans medical instruments and equipment • Assists with proactive outreach for patients requiring preventive and chronic disease services • Participates in daily huddles with providers • Serves as a patient experience advocate and communicates with patients, visitors, and colleagues in a professional manner

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution (AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or NAHTR) • CPR Certification required: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support • Valid driver's license required for Regional Positions • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

• One to two years of Medical Assistant experience in a primary or specialty care physician's office
