Job Summary

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a part-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team at Eichenlaub & May in Lancaster, PA. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for visits by using appropriate rooming standards tools.
  • Administer injections and medications as prescribed by providers, in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Assist providers with various procedures, minor surgeries, and exams as designated.
  • Perform Point of Care Testing, including hearing, flu, urine, and strep tests.
  • Remove sutures and change dressings on wounds as necessary.
  • Provide clinical advice by phone/electronic correspondence, in accordance with established triage protocols.
  • Authorize prescription refills as directed by providers.
  • Assist with test tracking and monitoring overdue results.
  • Ensure exam rooms are adequately supplied and cleaned after each patient visit.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives to improve patient experience and quality of care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required.
  • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution (AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or NAHTR) required.
  • CPR Certification required: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support.
  • Valid driver's license required for Regional Positions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One to two years of Medical Assistant experience in a primary or specialty care physician's office.
Work Environment

This role may necessitate occasional regional travel. For Regional Positions, you will travel regularly to various sites within the region to support operational needs.
