Position Summary: This position is responsible for supervising power distribution, transmission, electrical utility construction, and maintenance personnel, coordination of contractors working line maintenance, circuit maintenance, vegetation management, new electrical utility construction, and contract & budget administration. Emphasis will be focused on safety, customer service, quality and productivity for all work performed. Position Responsibilities: Perform managerial/supervisory duties in conformance with company expectations. Maintain a safe, productive work environment. Timecard reporting to ensure accurate information is recorded. Prepare annual standby list and review daily incidents. Investigate and report on any incidents per the outage review process. Participate in budget process and monitor expenses. Monitor and manage service standards. Participate in the development of LCEC Apprentice Program. Project management of assigned contracts. Review daily crew structure and work assignments. Apply LCEC policy and procedures consistently. Participate in interview process for new hires. Ensure progressive discipline is documented. Participate in monthly safety meetings. Complete annual performance evaluations. Assist and back-up the Sr. Supervisor as needed. Maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, business administration, or related field (Preferred) Experience: 2+ to 5 Years progressively responsible experience in a leadership role (Required) 10+ to 15 Years experience in electrical utility construction (Required) 2+ to 5 Years supervisory experience (Required) Change management experience (Required) Previous experience as an electrical utility construction supervisor (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to perform administrative functions such as budgeting (Required) Demonstrated ability to resolve customer and employee issues (Required) Thorough knowledge of transmission distribution high-voltage line construction (Required) Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Required) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Required) Must live within 60-minute commute from work site (Required) Proven ability to manage multiple priorities (Required) Licenses and Certifications: Valid Florida Driver License (Required) Project Coordination and/or Supervision Courses (Preferred) TQM or process improvement skills or certification (Preferred) Physical Demands and Working Environment: The physical demands and working environment characteristics described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
