RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate supplier/vendor selection, development, and relationship management to ensure the uninterrupted flow of high-quality, cost-competitive goods and services, as well as the transparency of spend
Lead efforts to optimize and de-risk, revaluating our strategies for sourcing, category management, vendor/supplier evaluation, and procurement
Identify and implement methods that decrease expenditure and increase efficiency
Create a sourcing category strategy that supports company initiatives
Leverage best practices to negotiate strategies and secure profitable deals, collaborating with stakeholders to guarantee alignment on terms and processes
Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers
Perform cost and scenario analysis on raw materials and packaging
Estimate risks and apply risk-minimizing techniques.
Develop, maintain, and continually review for improvement of a vendor/supplier evaluation system
Establish cost savings KPIs, achieving additional margin to support company initiatives
Collaborate with appropriate teams to create and maintain procurement policies and SOPs that drive business results and document effective internal controls
Identify opportunities for improvements, identify potential areas of risk, and promptly share critical business information with key stakeholders to maximize results throughout
Coordinate effective teamwork and use all company resources efficiently to promote superior financial results for ; maintain equipment and assets to maximize ROI
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards and company polices relating to sourcing, quality, and sustainability.
Establish and maintain effective business relationships with all employees, vendors, business partners, government/regulatory entities, and communities in which we operate
Strictly enforce workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners at all times; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near misses; consistently wear and utilize all required PPE
Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard assets at all times
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum:
BA/BS in related field or equivalent
5+ years work experience in sourcing, procurement, and commodities
Comprehensive knowledge of sourcing/procurement that drives competitive RFP processes
Extensive vendor management knowledge; ability to build successful partnerships with vendors/agencies
Strong understanding of market dynamics and industry trends
Ability to make wise decisions using effectual mix of analysis, experience, and judgment.
Strong data analysis skills with ability to translate complex data into sound business decisions
Ability to problem solve, multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
Self-driven and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
No food-related allergies to milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, sesame, and/or soy products
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in English, with focus on cross-functional collaborative teams
Culturally sensitive and works well with the full diversity of our company and community

Ability to work non-standard hours to accommodate business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to pass background check
Preferred:
Any related industry certifications / credentials
Experience with sourcing/procurement management
Experience with chocolate purchasing
Experience working with Tribal and/or Government procurement, bidding, and/or contracting
Work experience in a dynamic, fast paced and growing CPG company
Experience with MSDBC
