Clinical Counselor - LCAS, LCAS-A, LCSW, LCSW-A, LCMHC, LCMH-A, or LMFT


A reputable Behavioral Health organization in NC is looking for a compassionate Clinical Counselor to join their Residential team. They provide personalized substance use and mental health services through highly qualified clinicians. They offer prevention, intervention, DWI/court, assessment, detoxification, mental health treatment, outpatient treatment, and inpatient treatment. They are committed to reducing the impact of addiction by addressing how it affects everyone in the community.


Responsibilities:


• Provide individual counseling services for clients with substance use and/or mental health diagnosis according to best practice.

• Provide information on benefits, community resources, and services.

• Monitor signs and symptoms of alcohol and other drug intoxication.

• Provide crisis interventions, as needed.

• Arrange for psychological and psychiatric evaluations.

• Complete psychosocial assessments and evaluate behaviors as needed.

• Consult with other disciplinary teams regarding evaluations.

• Develop an individualized plan, monitor progress, and provide ongoing assessment.

• Complete admissions and discharges.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, to include psychoeducation groups and family groups.

• Provide education to family members.

• Complete documentation in electronic record.

• Participate in clinical supervision.

• Administer medication as needed in absence of or along with nurse.


Qualifications:


• LCAS, LCAS-A, LCSW, LCSW-A, LCMHC, LCMH-A, or LMFT required.

• Master’s Degree in Human Services or a similar field.

• Valid NC or SC Driver's License required.

• EHR experience.
