Job Title: Substance Abuse Counselor

Job Summary:
Hope Haven, Inc. is seeking a skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage clients in the treatment process through establishing rapport and defining treatment goals.
  • Provide therapeutic counseling through individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Complete documentation requirements and maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Facilitate referrals to community resources and provide information to referral sources as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing supervision and seek guidance when necessary.
  • Assist in ensuring excellent program delivery and participate in staff development and trainings.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of four years related experience.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in the Human Services field with a minimum of two years related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of resources available in the community to support recovery.
  • Strong interpersonal and engagement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the dynamics of substance use disorders and their treatment.
