This position is responsible for the review of shopping center portfolios to identify and pursue opportunities for new salons and to establish and continually develop landlord relationships to facilitate expansion.

Your Mission

  On your journey, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage the landlord portfolio review program to streamline data capture and pursue real estate opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a database to ensure the department has accurate information and can proactively communicate with landlords related to opportunities.
  • Pursue opportunities brought through the portfolio review program or that need additional resources and strategy to make the opportunity a reality.
  • Interact with landlords, brokers, and franchisees on portfolio site reviews and assist franchisees and Real Estate Managers through LOI and lease negotiations.
  • Listen and earn trust from RE team members, landlords and franchisees while building strong, positive relationships to grow the brand.
  • Maintain continuous communication with landlords to gain information about opportunities and provide customer service to landlords and franchisees to address issues and overcome challenges.
  • Stay informed in the commercial real estate industry to identify opportunities for growth and problem solve growth obstacles.
Your Expertise

To land this job you will need to demonstrate your proven ability to and/or possess the following:

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships that enhance the image of the company as a leader in the marketplace.
  • Detail orientation with an ability to look at things from a logistical and systems mindset.
  • Ability to devise and follow strategy to meet individual or work unit goals.
  • Thoughtful application of precedents, systems, and policies involving synthesis and analysis of information from a variety of sources and experiences.
  • Ability to make sound judgements and decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with key leaders of major landlord partner organizations.
  • Skilled at developing and maintaining relationships with customers (landlords, franchisees, and vendors), as well as coordinate face to face meetings and host those customers in various social settings.
  • Ability to solve problems and demonstrate flexibility to adapt processes.
  • Proficient in software systems such as Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft CRM.
  • Experience using GIS mapping software and mapping programs.
  • 3-5 years in commercial real estate with an emphasis on retail preferred.
  • Work positively in a team environment, with the ability to adjust to various working styles in one-on-one situations.  
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on timeliness and accuracy.
  • Ability to take initiative on projects without close supervision.
  • Ability to travel up to 33% of the time.
  • Experience in negotiations a plus.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in real estate support role (retail preferred) or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. Bachelor’s degree  is preferred, not required.
Your Work Environment

This is a hybrid position requiring in-office workdays twice weekly, including every Wednesday and another day of your choice (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday). The remainder of the week can be worked remotely with reliable, secure internet.

This is an in-office position in which you will work a standard 40 hours a week scheduled in an environment where you will participate in meetings and work at a computer most of the day.  There is flexibility regarding the time you start and end your workday.  

Travel could be up to 33% of the time.
