**Housekeeping - Room Attendant (Napa, CA)**

**Role Summary**

**The Room Attendant reports directly to the Executive Housekeeper and is responsible for providing luxury housekeeping services to all guest rooms, according to procedures established by Stanly Ranch Standards.**

**Core Responsibilities**

**The key responsibilities for this position are:**

* **Clean assigned rooms according to departmental standards, ensuring the highest possible degree of cleanliness.**

* **Start cleaning rooms after housemen have removed dirty linen. If linen had not been removed, strip bed and remove trash, replace it with clean par in accordance with appropriate room type and start with the cleaning.**

* **Restock and place guest amenities, bath amenities, facial and toilet tissue, literature and other collateral. Ensure adequate supply for arriving guests.**

* **Ensure proper setting, placement and working order of clock, TV, thermostat, light and other fixtures.**

* **Report any maintenance issues promptly in accordance with departmental and hotel standards.**

* **Inspect all door and window locks to ensure they are in working order. Alert management to any unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and employees.**

* **Report any unusual situations such as exceptionally dirty rooms, missing items or room status discrepancies (clean, dirty, vacant, occupied).**

* **Maintain and restock work supplies each day.**

* **Inspect linen before placing it in rooms and return substandard items to the Laundry Department.**

* **Responsible for proper administration of key control for issued keys and keys left by guests in rooms.**

* **Adhere to lost and found procedure, ensuring the proper retrieval and placement of items found upon a guests departure.**

* **Maintain respect for guest confidentiality and personal items.**

* **Engage each guest with a smile and appropriate greeting, using the guests name whenever appropriate. Graciously accommodate guest requests.**

* **Make suggestions for improvement in overall operations with an emphasis on increasing guest satisfaction, revenue and cost reduction.**

* **Demonstrate and uphold Auberge Resorts Core Standards at all times.**

* **Work in accordance with hotel and departmental safety standards.**

* **Use all hotel equipment safely and properly.**

* **Participate in and support hotel and company efforts towards sustainability and environmental initiatives as part of the Planet Auberge program**

* **Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.**

**There will be a basic understanding of allergens within each dish.**

**Required Qualifications**

* **One years experience in hotel housekeeping or similar position.**

* **High school graduate or equivalent**

* **Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.**

* **Ability to speak in English with guests, co-workers and managers.**

* **Ability to read labels, instructions and checklists.**

* **Able to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs**

**Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.**

**Preferred Qualifications**

* **Experience in a luxury Resort**

* **Bilingual**

* **Great communication skills**

* **Excellent grooming**

* **Confidence and ability to perform under pressure**

* **Must like to clean**
