Compensation:

Role Summary:
The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the gym floor, locker rooms, and administrative areas. This position operates under the guidance of the Gym Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure locker rooms are immaculate and orderly at all times.
2. Maintain the cleanliness of fitness equipment to promote a safe environment.
3. Keep fresh towels and essential supplies readily available.
4. Address specific cleaning requests as directed by the Gym Manager.
5. Utilize cleaning equipment to uphold a pristine facility.
6. Report any malfunctioning equipment, dispensers, or lighting issues to management.
7. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
8. Provide emergency assistance to members and guests when necessary.
9. Collaborate effectively with all departments.
10. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Additional Duties:
1. Monitor supply inventory and communicate needs to the Gym Manager or Operations Manager.
2. Respond to reasonable requests from members promptly.
3. Safeguard lost items by turning them into the service desk.
4. Stay informed about all programs and activities offered by Active Wellness.
5. Promote club services and events to enhance member engagement.
6. Assist in maintaining a well-stocked and clean environment.
7. Attend Active Wellness meetings and training sessions.
8. Handle reporting for injuries, illnesses, and security incidents.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three (3) months of experience in housekeeping or janitorial roles, along with three (3) months of customer service experience is preferred; experience in hospitality or fitness environments is advantageous.
- Must possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to customer service.
- Excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
- Basic computer proficiency and the ability to multitask are required.
- AED/CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Proof of citizenship or legal status is necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to take responsibility for the health and safety of others.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Work environment is within a fitness club setting.
- Compliance with OSHA and Active Wellness safety standards is mandatory.
